Our new website has now gone live!! We are very excited as it looks fantastic and will allow us to do lots of cool things, like YouTube video tutorials! Donna’s New Fluffy Helper

Everyone meet Molly. She is Donna’s new fluffy baby and by the looks of it she even shares the same hobby. Molly is a 4 month old Ragdoll kitten and is full of love and affection. Molly never leaves Donna’s side and she loves to help out with everything especially when it comes to quilting.

Dr Suess Flannel

We have made this adorable little flannel quilt up in our new Dr Suess fabrics mixed with a little bit of cuddle. We just love the colour mix and how can you say no to the Cat in the Hat.

We have kitsets up in this quilt, however stock is VERY limited so get in quick if you are after one.

Lost & Found

Once again Riley Blake Designs have brought out a delicious new range of fabric. It’s really modern floral prints on black, cream, grey and red. The range is called Lost & Found and is by Jen Allyson. This is seeming to be very popular (how could you not love it) so get in quick to get your hands on it.

We have Fat Quarters cut and have put together a few Fat Quarter packs. Fabric is $28.00 per meter.

2 new Jelly-Rolls

I really love putting colours together so it makes coming up with new Jelly-Roll’s so much fun. I have just put these two together which are quite different colours than I have done in the past and I am so im love with them. One is white, yellow and blue contemporary designs, (contemporary floral’s, spots and strips) and the other is reds and white but with a modern twist, (I love love love it!!)

Each Jelly-Roll has 40 2 1/2″ strips in them, totaling 2 1/2 meters of fabric. Each are $75.00 each.

Quilting Arts Calendar 2012

Yes it is a very scary thought that we now have 2012 calendars in store, however they are just amazing! If you aren’t aware of the Quilting Arts calendars, they hold a yearly world-wide competition, each year they have a set topic and you have to create a masterpiece on this topic. The calendar is 12″ x 12″ and that is the exact size of each quilt that is made for the calendar. This year the theme was “Feeling Pet-ty” and we are very proud to say that a New Zealander got her quilt accepted!! Not only is she a New Zealander but she is a local to us and more importantly we know her!! Her names Amber McIntosh and she is the Textile teacher at Hillcrest High School. Her little frog best friends made it on the month of June. We are very proud of her.

The calendars are $29.50 each

Batik Fabric Club

Look what we have got our hot little hands on! Pink Olfa Cutters. They are the standard 45mm Rotary Cutter but how cute does it look in pink. 50 cents of each cutter sold will be donated to help fund breast cancer initiatives.

Cot Cuddles

As you already know, we are obsessed with cuddle fabric. We have just had 2 HUGE shipments in of the stuff! We have got a whole bunch of new colours and even some cool prints. While our stock looks so lush and healthy we have been putting together some new kitsets for our strippy cuddle quilts. We have had a few requests for more colour ways in the cot sized quilts, so, you guessed it, we’ve made some new cot sized strippy quilts.

We have only done 2 so far, ( it has only been a week ) but here are the 2 adorable colour ways we have done…

Hot Pink ( it looks a little red in the pic) and Purples.
